About this course
This culminating course turns leadership outward, examining how people use their awareness, relationships, credibility, voice, position, and influence to strengthen dignity, opportunity, belonging, and success for others. Allyship is framed not as a political identity or claim of perfection, but as an ongoing leadership practice grounded in learning, humility, empathy, courage, dialogue, and action. Participants explore practical allyship roles including Scholar, Sponsor, Mentor, Coach, Champion, Confidante, Upstander, and Institutionalist, while developing skills in perspective-taking, micro-affirmations, constructive dialogue, conflict navigation, and courageous intervention. The course ultimately connects individual behavior to organizational culture and systems, helping leaders recognize that their everyday choices influence assumptions, relationships, decisions, opportunity, and ultimately who is able to participate, contribute, belong, and succeed.
